ZOND has an exploratory bent and would like to develop more work that encourages and facilitates the accessibility of information and knowledge.
ZOND were a series of 10 exploratory spacecraft built and launched by the USSR in the sixties. ZOND 3 was intended to explore Mars, however there were delays and it completed a Lunar flyby instead, managing to take 25 photographs of the far side of the moon which it transmitted back to earth.
